In May 2009, Sister Christine Leyser was invested into the Order of Canada, our country’s highest civilian honour to recognize a lifetime of outstanding achievement, dedication to community and service to the nation.

For more than 25 years, Sister Christine has served as a pillar of our community, founding a network of facilities that provide social services, accommodation and a sense of community to those in need. Sister Christine and her team of volunteers are invaluable and a true inspiration to our community.
